SBVC Softball will face #4 Citrus in the CCCAA Playoffs

SBVC Softball (26-13) grabbed its fifth Softball Foothill Conference title and it's first since 1998, the team was rewarded with the #13 seed and will open the first round of the CCCAA SoCal Regionals at the #4 Glendora Citrus Owls (30-9) on Saturday, May 2nd at 2 p.m.

The team finished the regular season with a 26-13 overall record and a 12-3 conference record, wrapping up the regular season winning 9 of their final 11 games.

The Owls won their second straight Western State Conference-Blue Division Championship with a record of 18-3. The Owls started the season 7-3, and have won 8 of their last 9 games. Citrus finished the 2014 season tied for first in the Western State Conference-Blue Division with a record of 17-4, with an overall record of 27-15. Citrus was most recently in the playoffs in the 2014 season, entering the Southern California Regional's as the 11th seed, the Owls lost at Mt. San Antonio in the first round of the SoCal Playoffs 11-3 and 4-3. Citrus is coached by Jackie Boxley in her 11th season with the Owls.

The weekend series will start on Saturday May 2nd. It will be a best two out of three series with game one set for a 2:00 p.m. first pitch on Saturday. Game two and game three (if necessary) will take place on Sunday.
