Men's Cross Country Runs Strong in Opener

After having a sophomore heavy team in 2018, San Bernardino Valley College men's cross country coach knew that he would have to build up his team again to compete for the first Inland Empire Athletic Conference title - and more - this fall.

If the results of the Aug. 31 Redlands Invitational are any indication, the Wolverines are headed in the right direction.

Freshman Elvis Rojas King finished second, with a time of 19:56, and fellow freshman Kevin Quinteros finished third, a second behind King, as the Wolverines finished second among community college teams at the event.

Two other runners finished in the top 20, with Alvaro Heredia and Eddie Perez helping the Wolverines.
