Wolverines Tie for Second at Brubaker

Michael Ramirez finished sixth overall and the San Bernardino Valley College men's cross country team finished tied for second at the Brubaker Invitational in Irvine.

The Wolverines ended in a tie in points with conference rival Cuyamaca, with the Coyotes total time clocking in 13 seconds faster.

Ramirez crossed the finish line of the four-mile run in 20 minutes, 58.5 seconds. Freshman Luis Garcia was the second finisher for SBVC, as he clocked in at 21:21.6, good for 13th.

Mauricio Ramos finished 17th at 21:30.9, while Carlos de la Torre finished with a time of 21:51.0 for 25th.

The Wolverines will now have two weeks to prepare for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Finals, which will be Oct. 20 at Cal State San Bernardino.
