Wolverines Stretch Out Against Big Schools

The San Bernardino Valley College men's cross country team drove north last weekend to test their legs against runners from across the country at the Stanford Invitational.

The 8K course put the Wolverines to the test in the field of more than 180 runners. Michael Ramirez continued his strong season, becoming the first SBVC runner to cross the line in 26 minutes, 41.9 seconds, good for 103rd overall, but the third junior college runner to cross the line. Isaiah Gonzalez ran strong as well, clocking in at 27:17.8, with Carlos de la Torre improving on his fitness with a time of 27:30.7.

As a team, the Wolverines posted an average time of 27:22.8.
