SBVC Men’s Track & Field finishes the 2014 season at the State Finals

SBVC Men's Track & Field traveled to Mt. San Antonio College for the CCCAA State Finals, finishing tied for 19th as a team behind eventual champion, Riverside City, but grabbed a fourth place finish in the 3000 meter steeplechase and the discus throw, and a sixth place finish in the triple jump.

The CCCAA Men's Track & Field State Finals were won by three-time defending champions Riverside City with a total of 111 points, 28 points ahead of their nearest competitor, American River, and 98 points ahead of SBVC, which finished tied for 19th with 13 points.

 The top finishers for SBVC were in the 3000 meter steeplechase and the discus throw with sophomore Ahmed Abdul-Rahman (Riverside Martin Luther King, Jr.) taking fourth place in the discus throw with a distance of 52.38 meters and freshman Anamacio Cardenas (Bloomington H.S.) grabbed fourth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:36.33. Sophomore Darrian Frazier (Redlands Citrus Valley) took sixth place in the triple jump with a distance of 14.60 meters.
