SBVC MEN'S SOCCER: HERRERA SIGNS NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT WITH VALPARAISO UNIVERSITY

SBVC Men's Soccer freshman Hugo Herrera has signed his National Letter of Intent with Valparaiso University. 

Hugo a Shadow Hills High School boy's soccer standout participated in all 23 games for SBVC in 2016, scoring 11 goals and 3 assists helping the Wolverines offense score 56 goals on the year, which was the 10th best in the state..Hugo was rewarded MVP of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference and was named to the All-CCCAA Regional and State team. 

The Valley Men's soccer team finished the season with a 11-5-7 record and a first place finish in the PCAC.  As a reward for their first place finish, the team was bestowed with the Coach of the Year award, MVP of the conference, as well as All-CCCAA Regional and State honors. 

Valparaiso University is located in Valparaiso, Indiana.  The Crusaders are coached by 10th year head coach, Mike Avery.  In 2016 the Crusaders went 10-5-4.  Valparaiso University is a Divsion I institution and competes in the Horizon League.
