SBVC Men's Soccer freshman forward Fred Zaragoza (Thermal Desert Mirage) has been named as the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference's (PCAC) Male Athlete of the Week for the first two weeks of 2016-17.

This is the first such award for SBVC as they are entering their first season of competition in the PCAC this year.

According to the release, issued by PCAC Sports Information Director, Tom Saxe, "Zaragoza started the season with two goals and an assist in back-to-back victories over Santa Barbara City College 2-0 and Santiago Canyon 2-0. Zaragoza scored an unassisted goal against the Vaqueros and had a goal and an assist in the win over the Hawks."
