SBVC Men’s Soccer left looking for answers in loss to Rams, 2-1

SBVC (3-4-6; 0-1) once again out shot their opponents and looked to be on their way to another tie, but a goal in the 80th minute by the Victorville Victor Valley Rams (9-3; 1-0) sent the home side to defeat, 2-1.

Both sides traded opening salvos of shots and the opening of the Foothill Conference schedule was on as each team competed for a share of what is expected to be the final season for the Conference. As SBVC and the Rams keepers played to a first half shut out, the teams retired to halftime goalless, 0-0.

In the second half the Rams would strike first with a goal in the 60th minute to bust up freshman starting goalkeeper Alexis Primera's (Colton H.S.) clean sheet. Literally, 59 seconds later, SBVC equalized as freshman midfielder Alex Gomez (Fontana Azariel Blanchard Miller) connected with freshman forward Jose Politron (San Bernardino H.S.) who rifled a shot past the keep to tie the score at 1-1.

Unfortunately, the tie would only last 20 minutes as Vcitor Valley took the lead for good in the 81st minute.
