Early Run Helps Wolverines Cruise Past Palomar

Four San Bernardino Valley College men's basketball players finished in double figures as the Wolverines rolled past Palomar 92-61 victory Wednesday night in the first Pacific Coast Athletic Conference home game of the season.

The Wolverines opened the game with a 19-2 run and shot 50.8 percent for the game as they dominated the Comets from the opening tip. The  Wolverines' defense was up to the task as well, holding the Comets to only 44 percent on the night.

SBVC's balanced attack was led by Damani Washington, who finished with 21 points. Eric Hansik had 18 points, making 5 of 10 three-pointers in the game. Cameron Butler added 14 points and 12 rebounds - 10 on the offensive end - to add to the total, with K'Lon Williams adding 12 more points. The Wolverines' fifth starter, Nathan Pendarvis, finished with eight points and nine assists.

Palomar's Jamario Harris led all scorers with 25 points, with Michael Chatman adding 13 for the Comets.
