Two Wolverines Earn All-PCAC Honors

Two members of the San Bernardino Valley College baseball team earned All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference honors, which were announced Thursday.

Infielder Tyler Van Marter was named to the team after leading the Wolverines with four home runs, 39 runs batted in and 13 stolen bases on the season. He was second on the team with a .371 batting average. He also struck out only seven times on the season, the lowest by any everyday player on the squad.

Outfielder Jacob Johnson also earned the all-conference honor. He led the team with a .405 batting average that also included 14 doubles (second on the team) and three triples (tied with Van Marter for team lead).

Six players received honorable mention status for the 2018 season. Leading the pack is left-handed pitcher Andrew Aguilera, who threw the first no-hitter for an SBVC pitcher against a collegiate opponent. Also included were Nathanial Sisk (utility), Jason Lopez (infield), Jaden Burns (outfield), Adrian Garcia (infield) and Tristen Macias (catcher).
