Bill Norris is the sports information specialist for the Wolverines’ sports staff, and has spent more than 30 years in the sports communications field.

Bill spent much of his life as a member of the sports media, working as a sports reporter and editor for various Southern California newspapers, including The Orange County Register, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, San Bernardino Sun and The Press-Enterprise, all now parts of the Southern California News Group.

He was born and raised in Orange County, starting with the Anaheim Bulletin at the age of 19. He covered his first Angels game at the age of 21, and was with the Register and its affiliated weeklies covering the launch of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

Besides working as a reporter, Bill spent time as a page designer, copy editor, and web publisher in his newspaper career. He went on to join the Ontario Fury/Empire Strykers indoor soccer franchise since its inception. For the Fury/Strykers, he has handled duties from media relations, photography, social media, and press releases. He currently serves as the team's lead statistician and historian.

Norris graduated from San Bernardino Valley College with his AA in English in the Spring of 2017, and went on and received his Bachelors of Arts degree in English from Cal State San Bernardino in 2020. He has lived in the Inland Empire for the past 20-plus years, currently residing in Colton. He is married with a son. He is a big fan of the Los Angeles Kings, and a fan of comic books and their related TV shows and movies.
