Athletic Training And Sports Medicine

Athletic Training And Sports Medicine

"Treating an injury requires a simple approach, when an injury takes place, it should be immediately identified and treated accordingly. Each athlete is then set up with a detailed treatment and rehabilitation plan that will help them get back to action as quickly and as safely as possible.”

The Athletic Training and Sports Medicine program offers theoretical and practical preparation to students interested in the effects of exercise on the human body.

Working in the Athletic Training Room can lead to clinical careers in athletic training, athletic medicine, sports-related paramedic services, cardiac rehabilitation, sports nutrition, athletic strength and conditioning. Students working in the room usually transfer to a four-year university to pursue degrees in Physical Education, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, and Sports Medicine.
